In Swaging process the material with types of tube, solid bar or wire is inserted in divided two or more dies and force it in radial direction repetitively, which result in reduction in the cross-section, to acquire formed products by incrementally multi-stepped forming without any maching process

  • Economic process suitable for mass production of cylindrical, rectangular or tapered shapes of products : Appx. 100 ~ 3000 ea./hr (This varies depending on the kinds of materials, material shape and reduction rate of cross-section)
  • Fewer chips generated and material cost saving up to 40% with respect to maching
  • Suitable for high/warm/room temperature processes of steel, non-ferrous alloys
  • Enhanced mechanical properties by developing metal flow in the microstructure
  • Very high precision of tolerance (¡¾0.02¡¡¾0.2mm) and low surface roughness
  • Higher noise and vibration levels than other incremental forming processes
